This is a veterinary diet, so consultation with a veterinarian is recommended before use and before extending the feeding period. For diabetes mellitus, the recommended initial period is up to 6 months; for weight reduction, it can be used until the target body weight is reached and subsequently if needed for maintenance. The recommended daily energy intake should not be exceeded for effective weight control.
